The 15XP track is a mid-sized rubber track chipper appealing to a wide array of right of way and clearing specialists due to its compact stature and less weight compared to larger Bandit hand-fed track chippers. The larger 37” diameter 4-knife drum enhances the 15XP’s ability to chip larger diameter material or multiple pieces at one time. A John Deere 139 horsepower diesel engine provides ample torque creating an efficient chipping action.
The 15XP track features the proven slide box dual feed wheel system designed to effectively pull, compress, and crush material into the chipper. The slide box allows the top feed wheel to travel straight up and down and provides direct down pressure as material enters the feed wheels. Each feed wheel is driven by high displacement hydraulic motor generating an abundant amount of pulling power reducing the need to trim or re-position material.
A 305CR Caterpillar rubber track undercarriage enhances durability all while providing a stable travel platform. This undercarriage features a travel speed ranging from 2.3 to 4.1 MPH and has triple grousers for the ultimate flotation and reduced ground pressure. A steel undercarriage is available as an option and is recommended for rocky soil conditions.
