AIR FILTERS Clean air is essential to engine survival and performance. NEXUS air filters feature two proven methods to separate and stabilize pleated media—PermaPleat, a process designed to prevent bunching and insure uniform air flow, and Hot Melt Glue Beading, a process which applies a continuous bead of adhesive to lock the pleat tips in place and prevent movement. NEXUS Radial Seal air filters have specially-formed gaskets that will not degrade, and specially designed lugs to hold the filters firmly in place, reducing vibration. The reinforced end caps prevent constant flexing, which could cause potential failure during changes in intake pressure. FUEL FILTERS Fuel systems are at great risk for contamination from the very beginning. NEXUS filters are designed to fight fuel contaminants, including water. NEXUS fuel/water separators feature a unique all-metal, patented self-venting drain valve. This design makes servicing easier than with traditional fuel/water separators because there is no bowl to change. The all-metal design reduces the dangers of road hazards and chemical attack, which can result in cracks and leaks. LUBE FILTERS No matter how efficient the media, lube filters must stand up to tough operating conditions. There are several NEXUS spin-on lube design innovations to work in these applications. The NEXUS heavy-duty baseplates are cold-formed to create a solid platform that doesn’t bend or twist under high pressure surges. One can/baseplate seaming technique creates a double-rolled tuck lock to withstand pressure and vibration. Another new innovation is the unique Baldwin patented J-Lock construction used to attach the baseplate to the can by bending the can once into a “J” shape over a flange on the baseplate. This construction, along with a series of indentions around the lip of the can, improves the strength of the filter and prevents leakage. HYDRAULIC FILTERS As the sophistication of hydraulic systems and components has increased, so has the importance of system maintenance, especially the filtration of system fluid. NEXUS hydraulic filters are designed to maintain system cleanliness and to insure equipment reliability and efficiency. COOLANT FILTERS Diesel engines depend on their cooling system for protection from damaging temperature extremes. A complete line of NEXUS parts has been provided to keep your cooling system in peak condition. Baldwin BTE and BTA PLUS Supplemental Coolant Additives provide maximum protection against cavitation erosion, liner pitting, corrosion, scale, rust and foaming.
